I literally can't do one overhead press.
What did they mean by this?
Practice with seated dumbbell pushes, make sure the bench is as vertical as possible

what with the bar?
If you're not 13 then consider transitioning
Don't worry, the movement doesn't even make you aesthetic.
t. Been OHPING 70kg for sets of 10 for 4 years now. I stopped progressing on it because it's a pain in the ass to progress, and it doesn't even give you overall shoulder/trap development like people on here claim it does.
My delts/traps popped up when I introduced lots of isolations for them, like shrugs, rackpulls, lateral raises etc. I feel like OHP on it's own does literally almost

With the bar I can but if I put even the smallest weight then I can do 3 reps tops
>>41901606
some people cant even bench the bar so how will they ohp
>>41901606
you'd be surprised, brought some friends to the gym (overall active, think light cardio and soccer) and they bench 50-55 kg and press only the bar

Ur totally right, it's shit for aesthetics.
It is however a great overall strength exercise working alot of different muscles.
I understand that u don't feel like progressing when its on the lvl u are but saying that u don't need it would be a flat out lie.

Why are they shit for aesthetics
>>41901633
wow it's almost like some people start out lifting different weight and have to work their way up from their starting point
>>41901633
Then do just the bar for now.

>tfw finally managed to OHP 100 kg today
