Well, I fucked around with brosplits for many years, then I switched to a decent program (in my case StrongLifts and later Greyskull LP).

Was really hard to convince my lifting buddy from back in the day to start lifting with a good program. What pushed him over the edge was the fact that I was able to bench more than him, which in the past he thought was impossible.

I'd say: show them your stronger. If they still refuse to listen to you, just let them be and focus on your own progress.
