it does make a small click when the handles touch together, but it's not that, since it's my right wrist only. I've been doing it a bit and listening closely and as far as i can tell it's something in my wrist, maybe due to my mouse? I posted this on /b/ as well and got a bunch of helpful but contrary replies about which side is the palm/finger side.
