i've started jogging recently to lose weight. about 2-3 hours a day until my body gives out (i'm a bigger guy). i usually do this while high on uppers to keep me from getting hungry because i'm on a 600 calorie a day diet (chicken/veggies).

anyway, the back of my knees started to hurt yesterday. it's very minor so today i just ignored it and did my regular jogging. can i just ignore the pain or am i hurting myself? thanks.

op here. if it matters, i started doing excising at 200 pounds (the point where you know you have a problem) about a month ago and i'm at 185 now... slowly worked up from walking to jogging fairly recently which is when the mild pain started.
