Home gyms are the best. Just for the record, I have a similar problem.

Easily resolved by spending $30 and buying a nice fan. I just work out in front of it. If you get a good fan, it's a lot more helpful than you might think.

Hot air rises. Opening the bottom half wouldn't do much of anything.
