When I'm running my legs start hurting like a bitch.
Specifically the calves. And it starts almost instantly, after only 50 yards or so.

I went and had my gait checked today, and they said my form was just fine. So it's not that.
Don't think it's an injury either, since I had the same thing when I ran a couple of years ago.

Am I just weak? Pushing too hard? I ran 5K today with a 8 minute 16 second / mile pace. I've been running for about two weeks.
Anyway what do you think it is, and what can I do about it?

do this stretch, but put your feet together and then cross them and do push ups into the wall. doctor recommended it to me and it works dude trust.

warm up and stretch before you run. but bear in mind that if you've done too much, too soon, you may have developed tendonitis. you'd want to take an NSAID (like ibuprofen) in that case. if it's really bad, see if a dr will prescribe you mobic. ive used it in the past and it's effective.
