You should definitely report. It could have been that maybe he thought you were some regular he knew but, like you said you're an untrained teen who had never gone to the gym before. His story doesn't seem to add up. An old guy fingering a little teenager? Tell the staff the old dude made unwelcomed contact at you and you don't feel like going into more detail. That way if more things happen or if thing have happened with the old guy, the staff have a record of why they should let this guy go.
