So I'm suffering from a mild case of achilles tendonitis (or tendinosis or tendpathy of whatever it's called). I have a little bit of pain, tight calves, and doctor's orders to take it easy, but I've been reading that 'taking it easy' is a great way to exacerbate the problem, and that you should instead do exercises to increase the strength of the tendon.
If you've had experience with this, what did you do? Did you continue to exercise, or did you stop for the 3-6 months this is supposed to take to heal? Did you do any PT, and if so, what sort did you do?
The worst fucking part is that I didn't even get it from working out, I got it as a side-effect of taking ciprofloxacin.
