it's fine if you need the structure and want to lose weight, or want to develop your cardio fitness and don't want to do traditional cardio on your own (running, jump rope, etc). You'd have to have a defined goal in order for anyone to suggest a 'better alternative', though.

Basically just cardio. Find out what you actually want out of fitness and train for it. (Strength, aesthetics, speed, endurance, a mix of certain things, etc)
