Reps meaning 3-4 sets of 5-8

Progress takes more than a few months, you seem to have fallen for the powerlifter moves meme, you need to fatigue your muscles and when they rest they grow bigger, you can't really fatigue on say squats because it's so taxing to your whole body that your form will degrade and you'll risk injuring yourself
