Why do you fucks recommend that every beginner who wants to look better do starting strength if they end up LIKE THIS??

>Not cutting
Just quit eating fatty. You gain weight if you are a surplus of calories. It's that simple. Your lifts will go up no matter what when you start lifting

Strength base, not about aesthetics blah blah blah just kys op I don't want to explain this to you
>>41824683
>Those gainz
>>41824683
Bulking like a mad cunt when youre already chubby to begin with and when you are still weak enough to make linear gains with barely any surplus is ridiculous.

What's wrong with this? Guy gained 35 lbs but doesn't look any fatter and gained some strength. He just needs to cut after running SS for a little while longer.

Le strength base meme
You'll get stronger on a hypertrophy routine too
>>41824812
Yes but you will hit a wall eventually. Trust me I fell for that meme and spent 2 years "lifting for aesthetics" and didn't even hit 1/2/3/4 until I switched to a strength program 2 months ago. You'll progress on any routine at first but long term it is very important to have strength to make the volume training of an aesthetics program worth while and to prevent plateaus

There's more to progressive overloading than just getting your numbers up and even then you can just change your rep/set ranges

True but this is just my experience and a lot of people are probably dumb enough to fall into the same "rut" so to speak when training for aesthetics. SS is basically just a fool-proof way to learn how to lift, then hopefully by the time you finish with SS you have an understanding of how to program for yourself.
