Thats the best way to ruin a bar. If you want to do rack pulls then have somthing supporting the paltes, not the bar. The way oly lifters do.

i don't care about the bar i use it cost $100 and hasn't even bent with 700 lbs on it doing rack pulls i also have a $1000 power rack. this is for something else.

I would be worried about those things lasting very long they are probably designed to hold 2500lbs spread across the majority of the top surface now you drop 5-600 lbs from a few inches onto a 1 inch area that is a lot of force.
