while stronger --> bigger isn't 100% true, its more satisfying to see your numbers go up weekly. Doing an "aesthetics" routine feels like you are dicking around in a gym and hoping for results, rather than seeing pretty quantifiable results on a weekly basis.
if you enjoyed SS and aren't making progress, switch to TM. PPLPPLx is fine but if you were already doing weights that shitted out your SS, it should probably be shitting out your PPL.
finally, even sets > ramping sets.
