>Work on 4 separate research teams in various roles
>Volunteer 3 hours a week on a suicide help line
>Working almost full-time on top of it all to pay for school

Anyone else /busy/ here? Got any tips to make lifting easier? I bike to work and my job requires me to be on my feet all day for 12 hour shifts and I definitely feel that extra wear and tear on my legs when I'm at the gym. With all this shit I'm worried I don't have adequate rest time (I still manage ~7 hours of sleep a night... should I aim for more?)

fellow busy fitizens, what is the best advice you have for keeping yourself fresh for the gym?

I have no advice opie but I admire your stamina and work ethic.
I'm heavily medicated due to psychosis and can only manage part time school and going to the gym, time just escapes me.

Yeah I usually lift after work at around 8 or 9pm. I feel drained, but at the same time I feel numb to it all. It's not a bad feeling, I guess.

Eat a higher carb diet if you can. Sounds like you can manage more calories since you burn them off, and a high carb diet also makes you feel much more energized in general.

Other than that, pre workout at the gym, but try not to take one with more than 25mg DMAA or 50mg of DMHA or else you'll hit a pretty bad crash.

I work at a psych hospital so I feel it, man. Psychosis and psych meds are no joke. You may feel like shit but you're doing far more than most in your situation believe me. I can only do what I do because I know it's short-term and I have no baggage of any kind (no kids, no mental or physical health issues, etc...)

Keep lifting tho that shit helps.

Full-time for grad is only 6 units/semester. I did 9 units one semester working 40 hrs/week (not "almost" full-time) and got a 3.2 gpa that one semester. Had to commute to class 3 days a week 1 hour each way. Best time to get workouts done is early in the am. Used my cat as an alarm clock. Otherwise you're tired as shit/hungry/need to do homework after work.

I was thinking of dietary alterations. I was looking at higher protein to help muscle rebuild faster but carbs might also be a good idea.
