Realistically, how bad is it to use a tanning bed for a few minutes

No worse than being in the sun.
Also a few minutes every month or two won't do anything.

I think the stats about sun and tanning bed cancer are grossly inflated, but I don't really have any evidence to back it up.

If it helps at all, they have discovered a way to make your skin darker without tanning. I imagine it'll hit shelves within 2-3 years. Im sorry to be the one to tell you this, but if you're really super white(Type 1 in the picture) there is actually no way for you to tan, because your skin does not tan, it will only burn. Being white is no big deal honestly, don't see it as a downside at all.
For your blackheads and pimples you can actually do something, a BHA can help for blackheads and mosturising your face daily with the right type of mosturizer for your skin(dry/oily) will make the occasional pimple go away.

But I remember tanning as a kid when I spent a lot of time out during the summer. So I have to be able to tan, being THIS pale is fucking annoying (imagine the skin of tone of Chris-chan outside).

My pimples are caused by a gut issue, I think. Any kind of simple carb causes them to appear, and even when I do avoid simple carbs I still get them. Suffering.

As for the pimples, if they still appear when you avoid carbs maybe it's something else like dairy.
