Is it possible to condition your body to withstand higher temperatures than what you're used to?
I've been doing one hour walks during the hottest time of day every day for a week and a half now, and I think I am seeing some progress in how well I can take it.
Is this placebo or can the body really adapt to different climates?
Also conditioning thread I guess.
Yes. Its called heat adaptation. Militaries in tropical countries do this by making their soldiers wear full battle gear and sit in the sun for an hour then two hours then evntually just spending the whole day there

You could start by putting your head in the oven

Yeah it's also a form of cardio. I heard a lady on NPR talk about it maybe a few years ago that sitting in the sauna is the same because of the effort it takes your body to be cool
Yeah it must be a thing.
I went to LA a couple months ago, I live in the UK.
I was walking around in shorts and a vest while the locals were happy in jackets and shit.
Also the older generations there look like scrotums due to not wearing sunscreen through their life.

yeah you will get used to it I work in 100 degree weather with 99% humidity for months

inb4 fatties take this the wrong way and die of heat stroke after spending 8 days in the sauna with nothing but some Cheetos and their iPad
