/fit/ please educate me on carb loading.
I'm competing in a bjj comp in 3 days time.
my friend who tends to know more about diet/nutrition then me told me I should eat fuck loads of carbs every meal for about a day and a half before the day of the competition.
advice on the best way to load up?
180cm, 70kg if that matters?
Its not going to have much of an effect on you if you eat carbs regularly
don't you have a weight in?

Just eat normal, big and healthy meals, but don't overeat like crazy. Then get plenty of sleep 1-2 days before.
Carb loading is for people with diet plans, which I assume you don't have.

Yeah but I signed up last minute and am like 4kg above normal fighting weight so im at the bottom of the division above and will make weight no matter what basically

Carb loading deadset will be useless for bjj, it has a 2% efficiency increase for extreme long distance runners
