I am supposed to eat 215 g of proteins if I'm overweight and don't want to lose my muscles? Isn't that a little overboard?
Forgot to say I'm obviously 215 pounds.
Are you trying to lose weight or gain muscle?

Lose weight and not lose all my muscles. I will start lifting tomorrow, today I'm watching videos and taking notes to not kill myself like a retard lifting weights.

You will inevitably lose muscle when cutting, that's unavoidable. You only need to eat 1 gram for every pound of body weight if you're trying to gain mass, not lose it.
Read the sticky.

I am literally coming here because I have questions about the sticky... guess I misunderstood the sticky. English isn't my first language, I can have some difficulty understanding the wording of things. What is a good protein intake then? Also I checked for macro %, there doesn't seem to be anything about that. I want lowish carbs because I don't like sugary stuff that much, but I'm not sure it's good.
Thanks though, I know about the sticky, I've read it 15 minutes ago.
It's 1 gram per pound of lean mass. Your jiggly fat fuck bits don't count.

It says
>You want around one gram per pound of bodyweight worth of protein (e.g. if you weigh 150lbs, eat 150g protein.
Doesn't say lean mass. Is it supposed to be so? So around 150g would be plenty enough?

Generally the rule is lean mass. More protein certainly won't hurt unless you eat almost exclusively protein.
0.8-1.0 g per pound of lean body weight

Aight thanks.
