When you lift , try to bring elbows to each other, as if forearms don't exist.

What terrible meme worthy advice. Just make sure you are bracing your core, squeezing your glutes and your forearms are vertical, also press in a straight line as best you can, you'll most likely tuck your chin on the way up to achieve this.

No matter how good your mind muscle connection is, you will always have other muscle groups kick in if its a compound exercise
