Hello, /fit/.
Coming over from other boards.
Now, I have to explain that I am (was) a NEET with weight on me. No, I was not obese. I started ditching high sugar drinks and starch based foods early this year (New Years resolution) and I lost ten kilos in four months.
In early May I found a job - hard, physical, back-breaking job. All about working with tools like rakes, shovels, hand-held circular saw and others.
So, month and a half has passed. I lost ten more kilos, I have gained some muscle on my arms, back, shoulder-blades area.
I wanted to ask, is it now time for me to hit the gym to fully unfuck myself? I had 0 confidence in myself before I got this job and now I know I can handle stuff.
Does anyone else have an experience of both working manual labour job AND going to the gym?
Thank you.
i used to work in construction. it's a popular hobby in the industry. most of the work your doing isn't going to to be heavy enough to impact your lifting. you gotta eat like a dog though.
the best shape of my life was when i had that job and i wasn't even liftan. the important thing is to eat a lot and sleep a lot. you're probably going to get a sick body.

Eating is not the problem.
I also work only 3 after 3. That is, three nights on, three night off.
Sleeping is my problem... let's just say, my living space and family situation is what it is so at most I can get 6 hours straight and then 1-1h30mins in the evening before I head out.
I am not looking to become a Chad, I have better figure than on the left with more muscle tone definition in my legs and arms but still a general skinnyfat though it is improving.
