For the past few years I've always had the same level of cardio and thus the same endurance. However, since I've started lifting weights, I've gained about 3 kg of muscle so far. Maybe it's all in my head, but... it feels like I last a lot less longer during my sparring bouts. Noticeably so even.
Can bigger muscles affect your endurance, even just a few kilos?
I just think it's weird that my endurance didn't seem to adjust accordingly and that I essentially need to increase my cardio to 'catch up'.
More weight of any kind = less endurance. Marathoner vs sprinter for example.
