Only doing incline DB press for full body workout?
Bad idea?
I want more square pecs and don't want to overdo my program.

That guy is retarded
Strength training is nerve based

For the first 3 months maybe

I remember how we used to mirin his body. Now he's considered small.

Ignore pic, I just chose a random one. Is it a bad idea to incline bench around 30° as only chest exercise when doing full body routine?

who here
>heavy compounds
>light + high volume isolation and accessories

You mean you want to replace flat bb bench with incline db bench? I don't really see anything wrong with that.

db incline is pretty goat for chest
>>41770569
YOu cant change the shape of your pecs. They can only grow or shrink.
Even if you do flat bench you still need to isolate the chest for it to grow.

Muscle size is found to be the most accurate way to determine strength in trained individuals.
Muscle growth AND nerve adaption is important for strength.

Thanks!

I don't mean the shape, I mean the thickness in upper vs lower chest. I think if I made my upper pecs thicker my whole pec would look better if you get me.

Thats what im talking about too. You can SLIGHTLY emphasize more or less on the upper part, but it will ALWAYS contract when you do any benching motion.
Simply getting big pecs will solve your issue. The reason it doesnt look as thich is due to the lack of size. Not because you dont work your upper part enough.

Just a reminder that emgs show that incline presses increase front delt activation 85% and upper chest activation only 5%. Try reverse grip bench, it increases upper chest activation 35%

anyone who cares about hypertrophy should know this

This is very interesting, do mind linking me the source?

I think you have confused some numbers in the study. As comparing overall activation vs position spesific can provide completely different numbers.
5% activation of the pecs is in no way true at the bottom of the lift.
