The sugars in honey are slightly more complex than sugar (glucose/fructose vs sucrose), which is arguably slightly better
However it's a bit denser than sugar, 1tsp of honey will have more calories than 1tsp of sugar
There's really very little difference between the two. I think there's something good to be said about eating less refined foods, but that's just momscience
