>tfw unironically skipping leg day
What is it about this squatting exercise that makes me want to get lazy and skip it?
I love going to the gym for upper body and I don't even mind squatting all that much, but subconsciously I just want to not put in the work squatting as I do benching/overhead pressing or whatever even though I know it benefits my overall physique as well (and probably the juiciest hormonal response for a compound lift)
what is your perspective or mental state going to the gym to squat a shitton of weight? just do it?
>just do it?
I want to be able to 3 plate easily for reps
Because banging up your central nervous system that hard isn't very fun unless you're a masochist.
Just hate yourself enough to do it.

It's just discipline, forget all this memeshit motivational garbage. Noone maintains a raging hard on for life every day of the week, discipline gets you through the lulls on the way to your long term goal.

I call myself a pussy before every set for reps in 5/3/1 and if I skipped squats I'd be a double pussy faggot nigger.

The only time I'm not really motivated to hit the gym is when it's raining outside. At this point it's a part of my daily routine.

It's only natural for you body to want to avoid such stress.

I'm the same way. I think it's the strain on the entire body that makes the difference. No other exercise will make you exert yourself to such an extent that your whole body must fully tense up. Doing other exercises at least some body parts get to rest.
>tfw I haven't done legs in 3 months

I put on the Guile theme. Think about how much America needs me. Then I squat heavy... This actually helps so much

this is true, those who squat heavy 3-6x a week are fueled by self hatred and anger
