Alright /fit/, i have run into a bit of a predicament. I'm currently /fat/ but I'm very informed on how to lose weight effectively working out and modifying my diet (I am a rare person that can eat chicken, rice and hot sauce for every meal, love that shit). The real problem lies with my roommates/girlfriend/people around me. They do not need to follow strict diet to lose weight and/or are content with being out of shape and they peer pressure me into eating many unhealthy foods, such as pizza, pastas and burgers. I feel awkward if all my friends would see me eating something different than all of them. How do you deal with people influencing your diet in bad ways? it is very frustrating because I feel like one slip up in diet sets me back farther than I have made it.
tldr: how to deal with diet peer pressure?
Would you rather give in to peer pressure or get fit? They urge you to eat fast food because they don't think you'll make it.
Easy.
Just say you are trying to lose weight. Who the fuck cares about what they say. If they are real friends they will support you.
