Can anyone suggest ways to remedy and fix shoulder clicking and pain? Almost all the resources I've found online either say conflicting things (should ice, shouldn't ice; should exercise, shouldn't exercise it, etc.) or offer exercises and drills that are either confusing or don't seem to do anything. Anyone have experience with anything that worked?

You should really go to a physio. The shoulder is a complicated joint m8 and not something to self diagnose.

I don't have health insurance.

Take 3 motrin and keep lifting pucci.

Are physios expensive in the us? You can get a session for £50 in UK...It would be well worth
see a physical therapist, research before choosing who to go to.

Uh probably. I mean they'd probably want to do an MRI which would cost like 100 if I even had insurance, and that wouldn't include doing physical therapy sessions. My shoulder isn't fucked really, it just hurts slightly and clicks and I wanna head it off before a more serious injury occurs.

Also, stretch you dummy. Shoulder mobility is like the #1 thing you need to do. I do pre-workout stretches twice a week.

Check out athlean-x channel. His stretching videos are great. Here, I searched up shoulder stretch in his channel:

Are you sure about the MRI? I would check with local commercial gyms and/or sport centers to see if they have an injury or rehab specialist. They should just move your arm around, see where it hurts or pops, give you some exercises and send you on your way.
ps: if you do a lot of pushing exercises, but not enough pulling, you pain could be due to imbalance. Internally rotated arms would be a sign of this

Not sure how helpful this'll be but here goes. I used to swim a fair bit, and do archery. I developed tendonitis in my shoulders. Saw a doc and he gave me anti iinflamitories which did nothing. Saw a physio therapist and it pretty much solved my problems. They did heat and cold compresses with ultrasound. Taught me some exercises I never do.
Basically I still do archery and it puts a lot of stress on my shoulders but I no longer have tendonitis. It still clicks but that's from all the scar tissue, and it doesn't actually affect me. It's neither painful nor does it impede my mobility. Just don't do anything that's painful or overly strenuous on your shoulders, stretch, and ice it when it's bothering you and you should be good.
Also I foudn this guys channel recently and I love everything he does.

I think I aggravated I'm the shoulder by doing bench press one day and dumbbell OHP the next. While doing OHP it started feeling bad so I stopped and it's been annoyed ever since. (I had sort of sensed for a while that that particular shoulder was weaker than the other, as it didn't feel as strong as the other while doing things like dips. It also clicks while the other shoulder doesn't.).
I also do plenty of pulling type exercises though, stuff like seated rows and I do shitloads of pull ups (my favorite exercise since I was a kid), so I'm not sure if that's the issue there with push vs. pull exercises.
My trap above the shoulder that hurts is, (I've noticed for a while) smaller than my trap above my non-hurt (also my dominant) shoulder. Not sure if that's an imbalance that's causing the issue or not.

Thanks I appreciate it. Fortunately my shoulder doesn't have to be super strong for my sport (and it's my non-dominant side), but I'm just missing doing heavy lifts and this is going to keep me from doing heavy bench press + OHP and stuff and I want to resolve the issue before it gets legitimately bad (it's not hurt enough to the point where it really impedes me, I just can't lift as much as I could before).

Like I said, just be careful. Work on doing stretches that are within your range of moment. If it hurts stop doing it.
I've also added every possible shoulder movement workout I can to my chest days. I do 10 variations of flys and basically every pushup you can imagine. The more variation you have in your workout the more dexterity your shoulder should have.
