hey anon, I didn't mean to sound judgmental. Do you use flavored whey? If you want to not have to add sugar anymore into your oats, try the stevia whey protein from myprotein, they have about six flavors or so. Also another alternative is to buy unflavored and use sucralose (also available on myprotein) which if you research about it is far more efficient than refined sugar at flavoring and also much less harmful.

Sorry if this isn't a /fat/ enough of a topic to blog about, but as a former floor sleeper, I'm thinking of going back to it at least on nights when I don't have to get up for work the next day. My bed is a simple pad mattress sans bed springs laid on a board over the slats of the bedframe, which has been my compromise option and is honestly a bit easier to sleep on. But I took a brief nap on the floor today (didn't want to sleep past 30 minutes and fuck up being able to fall asleep tonight) and it just made my back feel amazing. Particularly now that I am on the cusp of a healthy BMI, I think it will be easier than ever to sleep on the floor without the lack of padding causing as much discomfort due to excessive weight adding pressure.

I think it all stemmed from my greedy mom buying used sponge mattresses that you'd sink into so deep you'd need a good push to get out of, and they were so lacking in firmness that I would lose a sensation of structure in my back and glutes and feel like I am melting inside of it. It was terrible. Then we had other sorts of mattresses, some with broken springs that would stick out and stab your back. One night I just took my blanket and pillow and laid on the floor, and I instantly felt better. I do it very often usually when I have subpar sleeping arrangements available, or if I want to enjoy a view of the night sky under a summer breeze, while laying on a cold fresh floor, spread like a starfish, on a really warm summer night.
When I am moving out, I'll probably get a japanese tatami, or a very firm futon. I love the perspective that sleeping on the ground gives, really widens the horizon so to speak.

I dont know my weight because I dont have scales. I dont know my body fat because I've never had a dexa scan and dont trust calipers. I go by measurements, I'm 5'8 with a 26 inch waist. I can see abs when I'm dehydrated. To have actual abs I'll need to lose another inch, which will take 2 weeks-1 month. Now, I get ALL of that is bad for me. But I don't see where I can cook breakfast and lunch for myself except when I get home. And even then, I don't know what to cook for myself that I could pop in a microwave at work to eat. I'd need something that I could make a whole bunch of, depend on, and would be if not superhealthy, then better than what I've been eating before. Something for a consistent breakfast, and something for a consistent lunch.

What would you recommend?

On your day off cook a big batch of something. Portion it out into however many meals you eat (i eat twice a day). Put it in tupperware containers. Then you just grab the containers and go to work, microwave them. Not the tastiest shit ever nuked, but good enough and you have full control of your macros.
