I've reduced the volume of lower body training by a lot, my manlet genes are too powerful.

Been lifting for 5 years and 3 months now. I love bench press and OHP and my weighted pullups are pretty insane. Diddle and squat are pretty average though.

I hit bodyweight within a couple weeks, and 2 pl8 in well less than a month. I'm at 290 pounds now. It's my understanding that this experience is common. I hurt myself on SS at 127kg and went back to 110kg and continued linear progression back up to 135kg then I switched to Texas and did 140kg for the first intensity day. I probably could've hit those numbers if I ate a lot, but I started cutting at that point because I was probably almost 20% bf. Almost all fat gain I get goes almost exclusively to my love handles, so I really didn't feel comfortable in my body anymore. So, I placed feeling comfortable in my skin higher than strength gains. I'm now trying to lean bulk, and not gain too much fat. I never want to be over 15% again.

Even in something like a squat where proportions can cause significant differences in squat stance and ability, it's not that big of a deal until you're competing.
