We'll make it, lads.

I don't know how some people blow up over 300 pounds. At my heaviest I was 220 and drinking 5+ cans of soda and snacking all day.

Losing weight isn't half as hard as a lot of people make it out to be, all you have to do is drink a metric fuckton of water and not eat like a disgusting pig all day.

If I can drop one hundred pounds in under a year, so can you. I believe everyone of you in this thread has potential to make it.

Good luck, /fat/.

Just had a cheat day and ended up 1100 calories over my limit for the day. Never realized before but I ate less than I normally would so all this time I've been eating like 3500-4500 calories a day for years until I started tracking a while ago and doing 2400 daily. Real eye opener for me but no regrets.

Hypertrophy. I'm assuming it's on the belly, focus on building a wide back and pecs to help this. Obviously building up your overall physique over time will help immensely. You might also consider surgery depending on how bad it is. Good job on the weight loss man.

Yeah I understand what you mean.
I was just making the connection between having those two supplements, one being a common deficiency for ... non-meat eaters, and the other well coming from a vegetal source.
I am almost 99% "vegan" as well, haven't had animal products (eggs, dairy) in very long and only consume very little amounts of meat ever so often. I'll get there.

Is pea protein any good? Feel free to share your experience and knowledge on it, please.
I'm thinking I could switch to it too.

Also is D3 available no prescription in your country? I went to get some at the pharmacy the other day and the chemist told me to get a script for it.

So is a cheat meal a meal that puts you over your maintenance or a meal that you just shouldn't really consume, even if you still make your cut?
>>
>>41690665
>Is pea protein any good?
I started taking it a few days ago and the only problem I have with it so far is that it tastes like ass (unsweetened).

>Also is D3 available no prescription in your country?
Yes, you can get oral D3 without a prescription up to 50µg, anything that you need to inject requires a prescription though. In what country do you live? The UK?
>>
>>41690701
I live in France currently, but I am going to study in the UK next semester (where my dad lives too) coincidentally. I think I'll make profit of socialist healthcare here and just go see the doctor and ask for a script of the good stuff.
I'll research about D3 orals though to see if some other chemist doesn't have them.
Where do you get your pea protein from? I'm looking at the myprotein one right now.
>>
>>41690729
I bought it at a local supermarket, but it was kind of expensive so I'm considering to order more from myprotein once I'm done with this bag.
>>
>>41690678
a cheat meal is cancer fucking kys if you're thinking about eating one
>>
>>41690742
Well guess what? I found D3 orals on myprotein's website as I was searching for the pea protein.
They have a pea protein isolate, unflavored for a decent price.
>>
>>41690678
It can be either depending on how much you believe "a calorie is a calorie" and "if it fits your macros"
>>
>>41690678
For me, when I wanna have a cheat day, it means eating McDonalds or maybe a slice of pizza. However, I never ever go over my maintenance, I generally go for a few hundred kcals over my current 1600 limit. So I'm still technically losing weight since I'm eating at a deficit.

Some people see cheat days as a way to eat like 3k or 4k which I personally think is a bad idea since you actually are resetting progress.

My suggestion: Drink water or black coffee for most of the day and then eat only two double quarter pounders with cheese. Remove a couple of the buns. It's tasty, cheap-ish, decent protons, around 1600 kcals and you'll definitely feel disgusted/satisfied by the end so you'll be begging to go back to healthy shit like oats. Works for me m8

Usually just girls with low self esteem. They want somebody they can control and/or don't have to worry about leaving them.

My ex flat out told me she didn't like me going to the gym and getting healthier ("I don't like guys with abs") but she just wanted to be in a relationship rather than in something meaningful.

Salami sandwhiches. Occasional fast food (like,1x a fortnight). I eat oats for brekky (usually a full bowl because I haven't bothered to read how much a serve is). And because I live at home whatever is served up, usually consists of vegetables, w/ gravy. Roast chicken is pretty common too. My BF is 31.6 and my BMI is 33.5

I do however exercise 2x a week pretty intensely, all up probs about 4 hours. I'm pretty fit under the fat (if that makes sense).

Doesn't look too bad

What's your current height/weight?

Do you have milk with your cereal?

Are you weighing your food? 100g isn't a lot of chicken. It's half of a chicken breast.
>>
>>41691419
Honestly m8, this doesn't seem that bad. not terrible by any means. is this not working for you? are you not feeling full with this diet? maybe try accurately reading and identifying portions and serving sizes?

i'd suggest dropping the white bread for whole wheat or whole grain (if you absolutely need bread that is). more protein and fats help you feel better and fuller.
>>
>>41691652
No, I'm not weighing my food. It was just a guess. I'm about 104kg, and 177cm. 33.5BMI. and 31.6Bodyfat. I always have milk with my cereal. I just guessed with the cereal, there wasn't on option for "bowl". Its not a huge bowl, but I'd guess at about, 1-2 cups. I also forgot to add the gravy.

I knew my diet wasn't as bad as some, but I'm not losing weight (I actually gained weight). This is a pretty accurate depiction of my diet (I always have 2 salami sandwhiches on white bread with no cheese though)

Also, add another 100 (1%) - 150 (whole milk) calories for the milk in the cereal

It's time for the daily "what are you eating today" /fat/ ! Post what you're having for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
If you're cooking it yourself, share a recipe with a friend, some tips on how you like it, inspire another anon to try new tastes!
Pictures are a must, it's a great form of accountability as well as recognition for the effort put in, as well as a drive to better one's technique and presentation, which in the end will lead to a better, more proportionately healthy, relationship with food.

Let's see what you got, lads and lassies!

I'll start : for breakfast I had a cup of watermelon and chai spiced tea unsweetened.
for lunch I have just made a traditional middle eastern/mediterranean lentil salad I got inspired to do by trying it once at a lebanese restaurant a few years back.
Put lentils to cook on the stove.
You'll need to chop up parsley and mint leaves to taste, dice finely a tomato, a quarter of a long cucumber and a carrot, mix the whole with olive oil and lemon juice, a bit of salt to taste. Add in the cold lentils, and mix well.
And voila, you have a light fresh colorful lentil salad! Enjoy!
>>
>>41691912
Well bottom line is you need to eat things you like. If you lose that 20kg eating food you hate, you're probably going to fail and go back to how you were eating before. That's why so many people rebound.

People on /fit/ give me shit for the chourico (sausage) but it's a good source of protein and although high in sodium, I'm below my daily limit so I find it acceptable as it's something I can eat with eggs every day.

I don't like plain oatmeal so I chop up a banana and throw it in. If you want to go the oatmeal route, which most people on /fit /recommend, you can throw something else in. I hear oatmeal/yogurt is good, but I've never tried it.

Having been there myself, and known a few others like me: Anything over 300 pounds is a symptom of something other than just bad eating habits. Some psychological damage or disorder, usually compounded by a gradual accretion of self-justification, or poor education, or poor environment, take your pick... something else is wrong. I'm not making excuses, it's just that step one should probably be psychiatric/psychological rather than purely bariatric in nature.

>>41689879

DNP works by making the semi-permiable membranes in your mitochondria leak protons, making the synthesis of ATP from ADP less efficient, so your body consumes more calories to produce the same amount of usable energy. It also produces more heat. If you're not careful with the dosage (and this is before we get into how confident you can be that each grey market pill you take has a consistent dose), you can run a fever high enough to start killing your tissues. Literally cooking yourself from the inside.
>>

I live in a studio without a kitchen so my only options for cooking right now is a microwave and a family sized rice cooker.

>cup of brown rice
>2 12 oz bags of frozen mixed vegetables
>4 chicken breasts(~1 lb each) or 2 cups of lentils
>some combination of salt, pepper, soy sauce, sriracha, salsa, garlic, green onion etc
>cover with water
>let it go until it turns of automatically

makes around 4 600-700 calorie and ~100 g protein servings. Ends up being like a chicken stew with all the broth being absorbed in the rice, which prevents it from going really stale in the fridge.
Still trying to get the cooking times and spice amounts right but I can't imagine a easier way to make 4 days worth of half cheap as fuck decently healthy dinner.

i have been counting calories for almost 5 months now, i kinda feel like throwing the towel and just eat garbage all day. I'm afraid of the changes, i have been unemployed for a while buying new clothes is expensive, also i have avoided most social contacts for a while, i'm afraid of getting a new job, i'm afraid of meeting new people and having relationships. I think that if i stay a blob of fat i don't have to deal with any of this. On an intellectual level i understand that none of that bad quite the opposite but i'm shitting my pants thinking about social interactions... What do?

anon, I love nectarines. I make this spinach nectarine smoothie that's just the bomb.
It has the sweetness and softness of the nectarine, and the freshness and crispness of spinach. Try it if you're ever short of iron and can spare the sugars. It's delicious. I'd rather have that than just fruit as dessert, at least I'm getting in my leafy greens as well.

Anon, you'll get it down to an art eventually, given you're already mastering the skills it takes to make something taste good with little appliances available.
The idea of brewing the rice inside the chicken broth as both cook is brilliant and must give the rice a great meaty flavor. I think I am going to try something of the sort in a pressure pot I have.

Anyone else now dealing with a loose skin future? I've gone from 300 to 190 the right way and there's still a lot of subcutaneous fat around my stomach that just kind of hangs there. I'm tightening down to 175, so another 15 pounds, but I'm not sure how much of a different that will make. I've also filled in a lot of it with muscle.

Current stats -

Height - 6'2"
Weight - 190 on the head
OHP - 105
Bench - 145
Squat - 265
Deadlift - 325

My delts are shit, I'm lanky as all hell but I look pretty toned. Not sure what my best options are but if you guys have any advice, I'd surely appreciate it.

Hello, from mostly /g/
I'm 6'3 and 380lbs
I've been doing treadmilling at the gym for a week now and honestly, it's the only time I actually feel alive.

Every year I gym for about 3 to 4 weeks (this is the 6th time) and I just get unmotivated after awhile
But this year, I'm actually married with a tiny girl who gives me all the motivation in the world.

I-i think I will actually make it this time

Also, It's 80-110 mins at an average of 5.7km/h so I do about 10-11 kilometers in the end of it.
I also only eat half a whole chicken and a lot of lemony salads. With some fruits after the gym.
My goal is to do a solid 110 mins at atleast 6.3 constantly even at the start of the work out.

Would anyone like to give me advice?

Anon, please don't give up on yourself, even if you feel like everybody else did. You deserve happiness, to have friends, to live life to the fullest, and you've been making real progress towards it for so long, don't give up now. You don't have to hit rock bottom again to know that you must bounce back for air. Tony Robbins said, "there are two forms of motivation : inspiration or desperation". It sounds like you've lost the former, but believe me you've still got the latter. So dig deep in your despair and see beyond it and ask yourself, why not just fuck it and keep doing well. What's the worse that can happen? Nothing worse than if you give up.
Keep trying, keep failing and pick yourself back up, you can and will succeed eventually. Stay strong, Anon.

t. fellow misfit anon who wants to get in shape for himself, and the probable future is hermit or monk mode.

Hey guys. This appears to be a daily check-in these days, but we still have 2 slots available in the /fat/ weight loss competition. If anyone would like to join for the Friday weigh-in I'll take the first two that respond to this. Just need the following -

Name -
Height -
Starting Weight -
Current Weight -
Goal Weight -
Pounds to Lose (If more than 20 pounds, just list that first 20) -
Losertown goal date (Not for your goal weight, for the first 20 pounds) -

From there I'll get you calculated and ready for Friday and we'll go from there. Document can be found here -

all food should be weighed and measured and macros counted, if you do this weight loss literally becomes a math equation and you will know what you will lose and by when. you should be cardioing more than 3 times a week if in a hurry to lose weight, weightlifting also if youve been doing it long enough, rest days are bullshit, i go 7 days a week a 6am and 3 days a week i also go at 6pm, hiit cardio each morning and i go through a 4 day split, the evenings i go i do longer cardio and work lagging muscle groups again or work on specific skilled lifts like snatches etc.

Focus on biking or swimming for cardio until your weight is around 250lbs. You'll wear down your knees fast at your current weight. Start counting calories if you don't already do so, its essential in dieting to get a feel for what food gives what nutrients and how much you should be eating.
>>

count your calories accurately

You literally don't have to exercise to lose weight, especially at your size.

I personally would recommend you spend a week eating at your TDEE counting everything accurately. The next week you eat at a 250 calorie deficit, get used to that, then increase it to 500 calories, get used to that, etc until you are eating somewhere between 1500-1800 calories a day such that you feel like you could eat that way for forever.

Exercise isn't for weight loss, it's for general health improvement, you don't need to do much, but you need to do it consistently. You could honestly just not do anything until you lose like 100 pounds and be fine, would probably be better for your joints too.

there is no rush. it WILL take you 2 years at LEAST to be considered a 'healthy' weight assuming no lapses.

hello Anon, first and foremost, congratulations on finding true love and getting married. I think you are doing really well and will go, no pun intended, for the long run this year. It's a matter of mindset, think of it as gradually getting better and better at what you do. Increase progressively your pace with the most focus on staying always at an achievable rate, which means there's no overdoing it and walking too fast, you gotta take it...one step at a time. Just set yourself the ambition to walk faster (even by seconds) than you walked the day before, and you'll get there. You'll progress if you feel like you are making progress, because the mindset of progress is having already succeeded in your head. Good work, anon.

If you switched to scented soaps or pussy perfume, knock it off, and clean your shit with a mild soap and water. Loofahs can cause small tears and expose you to infections, btw.
Change your underwear, if you're not already wearing cotton. It will help your fat cooch to breathe.
Try OTC pH products, but it the problem remains or gets worse, just book an appointment with your gyno.
You can try an apple cider vinegar soak. Warm bath + 1 or 2 cups of Apple cider vinegar and sit in it for 20 minutes to naturally reduce bacteria in your cooter.
Hope this helps.

No you really lose more by exhaling. When your body uses energy it gets it by breaking C6H12O6 (glucose I think?) and the oxygen you inhale into CO2 and water which you exhale. So you literally breath out the weight you lose.

What is omad? Im doing a 1 week water fast, currently on day 2 and feeling great. I already did a 2 days one just to test the waters, didnt take any salt nor did bone broth, I felt like shit and learned the lesson. So in case you decide for the water fast, make sure you are taking lite salt and make some bone broth in case you feel a little sick. Will be reporting in this thread as the days go on.

Why does running suck so much

I don't give a poop about the physical effort involved, that part is not difficult and pushing myself through it is part of the challenge. It's just so goddamn BORING when I'm on days where I'm trying to improve endurance specifically.

I've gained the discipline to keep doing it anyway but any tips to make it more enjoyable would be nice

Thinking of trying IF once uni gets out. Is it best to work out in the morning before breaking my fast or in the evening after I've eaten and my body has fuel? (I lift for 40 min and do cardio for 20 min 4x a week and cardio for 60 min once a week. If that makes a difference at all)

I'm just saving up for some surgery. I started at over 360, and my end goal is around 160, so there's no fucking way I'm not going to look like a deflated balloon animal. And that's the thing with skin, it's got limits to how much it can stretch down from, and once you've got deep stretchmarks from it expanding, you're generally past the limit.

No, you're fine. How many LBs and how much time until your GW?

Don't listen to these faggots that go on about "muh muscle loss"

The biggest concern for you is, once you hit your GW, you need to increase your calories SLOWLY back up to maintenance. Add like 700-1400 cals per week (100-200 per day) back into your diet until you stop losing weight, then you'll be at maintenance.

Keep going, helga.

No you just have unlucky genes. Genetics is the sole factor in where your fat gets stored, building your ab muscles won't help get rid of the fat there.
All in all there are much worse ways your genes can fuck you.
>>
>>41694569

Exercise barely matters for weight loss compared to diet. Going to the gym is amazing for your health in basically every other way, but counting calories should be your focus if weight loss is your goal.
>>
>>41694607
Yeah i did count cals when i was working out and then stopped both. Resuming counting now, i miss lifting though.
>>
>>41694607
But isn't weight loss SIGNIFICANTLY slower without exercise? At least that's true for me. If I exercise, I'm guaranteed to see a lower number on the scale the next morning.
>>
>>41694637
no, moving more than the absolute minimum puts you into fat retention mode and actually makes it impossible to shed weight
the best you can hope for is that people stop being prejudice against something you can't control
>>
Lifting is great to actually end up with muscles and not only stretched skin.
>>
>>41694559
I'm already going to the gym 3-4 times a week and for now i've been sticking to the machines but when my brother gets out of uni this summer he's gonna help me set up a routine and see if i have a good form and stuff like that since im too autistic to start lifting myself lmao
