5x5 is too much volume for a novice. You can do it 3x5. Or ss with accessories (pic related) or alphadestiny novice program.

ICF is a good novice program to run during your noob gains but as soon as your progress slows down and you need to gain weight to progress, switch to a goal specific program. If you want to be generally strong and big, something like Madcow is ideal because it treats pulling as a primary lift. If you want a strong powerlifting total, I'd recommend sheiko because it's the best program I've seen for developing technique. If you just want to be jacked, hop on a PPL brosplit or an upper/lower split like lyle mcdonald's generic bulking routine, focus on the muscles rather than the movements.

Of course. ICF sucks but the alphadestiniy program is good? That guy is fucking retarded. ICF is good for about 6 month to a year. After that reduce the volume.

you mean the 3 times a week fbw? Im doing this, 10 weeks in and im stalling with weights since the beggining while being on caloric surplus. I got way faster strength gains while doing push pull and it didn't take that much time.

Unlike everyone else itt I've been doing it for the past 4 -5 months but the only reason I did it was because I could only go 3 times a week if I had more time I would definitely have done phul or ppl
The program does give decent gains if youre a beginner because of the squat and row volume it does neglect shoulders by a lot but overall you're better off with a upper lower split or ppl than this shit
