Boxing and lifting, is it possible to balance the two? I'd really want to chase those aesthetics, but I really love boxing as well. I've got boxing practice on Mondays and Wednesdays, and it's pretty much bodyweight training, cardio and sparring / mitt work for an hour and a half. What kind of routine should I go for at the gym?
Bump, I'm thinking of dropping the second practice for more gym time, since Mondays focus on technique.

Right now im only going to the gym, but i want to suscribe to the local box gym, i want to learn how to knock out motherfuckers.

No, and you should stop boxing. Brain damage and cauliflower ears aren't aesthetic.

While you do have a point, I feel like it's a cool sport and definitely useful. I'm pretty careful when sparring, although I do it super rarely.

I used to kickbox for 9 years.
I recommend learning some form of fighting, maybe for a year or two, then just get a gun after that. You have a 100% chance of being hit in martial arts, but I have not been in a single fight in real life since I learned muay thai. I have been injured repeatedly in muay thai, with injuries that will effect me my whole life.
OP, just look up stronglifts, 5/3/1, anything really, then just figure out a way to work it into your week. We refuse to spoonfeed you and make the whole damned thing for you. Narrow your question down.

Here's a good answer, thanks. I'm Europoor though, so no guns.
Try yoga. Working the core is key. It will really help with your speed and timing.

Absolutely. What I like to do is focus on mainly strength training throughout the week, and then your "rest" days should be your boxing, along with another day with some sort of cardio, maybe the day after your second practice. I have boxed/lifted throughout college and that's what has worked for me

no guns legally.

I box on weekends and lift MTxTFxx. It's possible but you have to compensate with your diet to help you recover faster.
I'm planning on starting boxing next week. I've combined lifting with marching band which is atleast 3 hours of cardio almost everyday and still made gains. I figure boxing is only an hour or two a few times a week so it should be alright. For reference I do sheiko which is only 3x a week.
