I do preacher curls which look like this, shoulder width elbow placement, supinated grip, etc
I hardly feel the movement in my biceps, but my forearms burn like im about to tear something. Specifically my inner forearms, closer to the elbow. It has gotten so bad I am considering stopping this exercise. What am I doing wrong?

Do them with a dumbell. One arm at a time, FULL extension. This should solve your forearm pain.
Use the machine instead if it's available at your gym. Free weights feels awkward for me as well
Probably curling your wrists.

this is probably it. Any tips on how to avoid this?

slow it down, and add a proper curl. That means bring it up in an arc or curved motion without your elbows moving forward, elbows to the side. Practice with a lighter weight, make it slower and if you feel your bicep burning or you struggling to get a 12th rep in physically you know its training your bicep.
Is it better to alternate arms during my dumbbell reps, or do all reps at once for one arm and then switch to the other

doing one after the other seems more time efficient, as one arm is recovering while you work the other

Me too, but it's in almost every exercise, how do i fix it?
I started doing wrist curls and watch my form more closely, it helped but it still hurts a bit, and while doing curls it hurts a lot when i release the bar.

Help, I feel pain on my right bicep tendon while doing this, especially in full extension or near it.
This happens while curling a shitty 7,5kg dumbell.
wut do I do?

Try placing the top of the preacher bench just above your elbows

or switch to a ez bar

Not OP but i do it with Ez Curl bar and the issue persists.
Make sure the seat is at the right height so your chest is touching the back of the pad. Don't fully extend your arm, stop just shy of 180 degrees.

Not sure, but speaking from experience I've sprained my elbow doing preacher curls. My elbows been kinda fucked up ever since.
And no, I didn't hyperextend.
>Implying the forearm work isn't one of the main points of preacher curls

I was having the issue of my forearm (although on the outside near my elbow) hurting when I let go of weights or did most exercises that required forearms sheet.
I just let it rest, I had strained something in my forearm so if it was stabilizing, working, or getting stretched in any way it hurt like a motherfucker

lift with a tight pivot about your elbow.
or in other words
>lift using your biceps
I am weak as hell doing preacher curls, yet if I just curl standing with the ez bar I am fine...
Which makes me wonder are preacher curls more for forearm strength?
