I have a bunch of older relatives who are always bitching about how some part of their body hurts. Will lifting help prevent or lessen any knee or back pain when I get older?

Even if you do everything 100% perfect 100% of the time, no.
If you fuck up while lifting, even once, you can end up with permanent life-long knee and back pain NOW.

It depends on the cause of pain.

what if these two people fight

Also I doubt it, I mean yes of course it can help but you are bound to run into an injury at some point assuming long-term lifting. I'm sure there are many anons here with injuries from lifting that cannot be fully recovered from. Snapping your shit up probably being one of the worst

My money is on the blue shirt
The reason old people hurt is because they're completely inactive for their entire lives after high school/college
Probably the best way to prevent pain would to do low intensity swimming, a few times a week
They are probably pussies who ate all the opiates their doctors would give them for minor aches and pains and now their natural opiates just don't do the trick
I know so many old folks like this
