>have a resting heartrate around 90 bpm

is it safe to do starting strength?

Go talk to a real doctor.
My guess is it's probably fine as long as you keep your heartrate in check but 90bpm resting is crazy high and certainly ups your risk of something going wrong.

yeah i'm kinda scared desu. i saw a cardiologist for chest pains like 3 years ago, but he didn't find anything.
also how do you even keep your hr in check while lifting?

90 bpm is really high for a resting heart rate. Your meme arrows don't change that

>every male in my dad's family under 6'

>6 months runnan + 2 months boxan
>93 resting BPM
Am I going to die soon?
It depends on what is wrong with your heart but explosive heavy lifting like SS does is one if the worst things you can do with many issues. If you're just undertrained then do cardio for a bit on the side

You'll probably be fine then. No real harm in getting a physical anyway but if you're just on the upper end of normal and everything looks good then you'll probably be okay.
>how do you even keep your hr in check while lifting?
check your pulse after every set, resume lifting when it's sub 120-130 (especially on SS, you're gaining strength not conditioning, focus on that)
Don't do widowmaker squat sets (this is good advice for anyone that doesn't hate themselves a bit).
How tall are you if your over 6 foot your fine either that or you gon die nigga
