I have buttwink at the bottom of my squat, and researching various sources to fix it has told me the following.
>hamstrings aren't tight enough
>hamstrings are too weak
>quads are too weak
>core is too weak
>you're not bracing correctly
>you're not sitting back enough
>quads are too long
What the fuck? What's the /fit/ approved method for fixing buttwink? I'm training SS and I had to cut my squats short this morning because I've realized I'm too fucking worried about getting posterior tilt of my pelvis.
What stretches should I do over the coming week to help me do the best squats possible? I've watched the Alan Thrall vids and read SS multiple times, but it's not helping.
Anyone overcome this issue themselves here?

I found that changing to low bar and widening my stance helped.

lmao, buttwink

All those things are correct. It boils down to strengthen your hams and your glutes, stretch your quads.
buttwink has to do with back angle and bracing
squat more upright and properly brace. If you got long legs then either standing wider and/or switching to highbar would fix it
also cut back on depth if you still cant fix it

I read something that could be complete broscience, but it's a test to see what squat works best for your body proportions.
It goes like this:
>face the wall squat with toes and nose at the wall, shoulder width stance
>squat down and see how low you can get with chest high, etc. like a normal squat
>repeat for x sets and y reps daily for 2 weeks
>if you can get hips below knees with relative ease at any point in that 2 weeks, back squats are ideal for your frame
>if after 2 weeks you cannot get hips low enough, or if you have to truly struggle to do it, your torso/femur lengths make split squats and front squats better for your frame
I only say this because I'm tall and have always had issue with deep back squats, and I cannot face the wall squat very low for the life of me. Front squats seem to feel more natural, so I'm gonna test this shit and see what happens before I get squatting again.

If I can give any advice based on my own mistakes, either decrease weight and fix the butt wink, or change squat form. At some point you WILL wink under a heavy weight, and it will hurt you.
I may switch to split squats exclusively desu, I won't have great e-stats but you can load the legs so much individually with less total weight on the spine.

This is what I'm considering, and why I stopped squatting totally today. I felt like I needed to reread the material to prevent an injury. I squatted side on in the mirror and recorded myself with the empty bar, and no matter what I tried I still winked.
I WILL fix this fucking problem.
