Have you ever considered leaving 4chan to make some life gains?
I'm personally starting to realise that it's eating up far too much of my time. And that I hardly enjoy it anymore. I just sort of do it on autopilot
>hes shitposted so much he does it automatically now
incredible
Almost everything in life is okay in moderation, as a way to enhance your life - but most of those things become negative if you let them becime your whole life.
I don't consider leaving /fit/ because I come by only occasionally and I like talking about fitness. But if you're doing it all day every day... yeah, its probably time for a change my man.

Sometimes I leave for a couple of weeks, but I always return. I wish I could quit it, but I'll probably always be here.

It's not a great feel.

Didn't some addiction studies show that cold Turkey is best way of battling strong addiction because addicts cant be expected to self regulate?
I enjoy spending time here learning about new topics
I regularly have to give myself ways to limit usage though. It's like Facebook for normies
I really do value y'all and I thank God for you

Oh for sure, I'd believe it. I dont disagree that quitting something altogether is the best way battle strong addiction - I was mostly just saying that 4chan in general is not necessarily a bad thing, only that it demanding all of your free time is bad.
I'm making great life gains and i didn't/won't leave 4chan brah
stop making excuses

I would say it's objectively a bad thing.
>Filled with pessimism
>SUPER inefficient way of getting information (can't sift through posts to see upvoted ones, have to read every post to see the content - time consuming)
>Anonymous forum so you never actually get to know anyone

That's a fair point too. I like it because it gives me a lot of laughs and there is a lot of good information, buried in copious amounts of shit as it may be. But you're right, I think spending more than a small amount of time here does more harm than good.
Your third point is exactly the reason I use a trip.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I don't care for having to constantly clarify "Im this poster here" or "no that was someone else who said that earlier etc etc" in long-winded discussions. Just a personal preference.
