It's kind of like going to the gym for the first time and complaining you can't curl 100lbs. If you have been eating small or few meals a day you need to build up to eating big.
When I started I sometimes ate breakfast and wouldn't eat again until diner and i thought i was eating big but now i eat seven times a day and still get hungry.

In order to gain weight a skeleton has to develop new habits, force himself to eat when he doesnt feel like it and keep an eye on macros and calories. Eating more means spending more time preparing meals and eating and often more money spent on groceries.

While in order to lose weight all the fatass needs to do is stop eating so fucking much, since his body uses so much energy just functioning that he can literally lose weight by eating like a normal human being.

This is something I feel the most.

I've never been particularly thin or fat or anything, but I have to say, eating less is infinitely easier than eating more.
For the former you literally have to do nothing. Just nothing. For the latter you need to be active. Not sure how people struggle with that.

this. I've never been fat but I'm always hungry. not eating 2400+kcal is hard. I fucking love eating. I don't understand how one can have trouble eating enough. I'm 20yo (5'11, 170lbs) so pretty much done growing apart for some FRAEM gainz maybe.
