Anyone actually practice with a sword?
Like, I made a boken out of a large branch that fell from my neighbors' tree since I was bored and have watched way too much Gintama, and the practice can be pretty grueling if you don't stop when tired.
I find that a nice way to warm up before the gym is to practice with it for about 10-15 minutes. On rest days I like to swing it 1000 times while avoiding breaks.

Might be my autism, but I feel it's been strengthening my arms and helping develop my forearms and wrists.

Currently at work so I don't know if thread will still be up when I'm out.
It's nothing special, I used an old kitchen knife I had laying around and it's pretty bumpy. I only use it for exercise so I haven't fixed it up and I'm also scared of weakening it by messing with it.
Since then I've bought an actual carving knife, some sandpaper and varnish, and have been looking around for free wood I can use to make a thicker non-shitty one. I've used smaller pieces to practice and get a general feel for wood.
