>Lift weights for about 2 months
>feel like shit
>never get the dopamine boost
Was I just not cut out for lifting? I can't stand the thought of going to the gym anymore, I absolutely hate it.
if you don't enjoy it after 2 months, you most likely aren't going to enjoy it
might as well not waste any more of your time and find some other hobby to keep you fit

Try some cardio instead
I didn't really start to get that "after lifting depression release" until a couple of months after I started and really started to lift heavy and give my 100%
>>41401097
You're not lifting heavy enough.
>>41401097
Such cutie birbs, I have one just like that

do you like video games at all? leveling up? then you'll like lifitng. but you need to see those increases relatively frequently or you wont get that kick.
>>41401097
Never going to make it.

I'm lifting as heavy as I can go
which is actually a pretty pathetic amount
I also had to restart at one point because I got extremely ill for a few months, which discouraged me as well.

I hated it for a full year bro... all i could look forward to about lifting were the rest days
Lifting sucks when ur a pathetic skeleton, same as driving sucks when youre drivin a 1993 toyota corolla automatic
Im 8 yrs deep now and i look forward to lifting every day after work. I go 6 or 7 days a week and hate rest days
Keep goin and once you progress and can lift heavy weights that dont make you ashamed it will begin to seem fun and suddenly a switch will be flipped and youl be lifting for life
>Or quit, i dont give a fuck
>>41401097
>supersets with antagonists
>low rep high weight
>periodization
>high volume training
>make some fucking progress
pick anything. you only get rewarded with dopamine if you bust your ass
>>41401967
not op.
but thanks bro
>>41401928
Dude ive been going to the gym for 3 months now, trust me, you are not lifting heavy enough.
I was skelly as fuck, way below average strength, I was deadlifting 35kg thinking that was as much as I could do because I felt tired after, now im doing 1pl8 (lmao) for 3x5 and now all my lifts are going up in weight every single workout, gotta push yourself man

OP are you not working as hard as you can with your workouts? Start doing intense full bodies and when you're done you should feel like a drained condom. Your body doesn't want to change, you have to go past your pain barrier to induce immense changes in your body.

I don't know how I am not lifting heavy enough when if I were to go any heavier I can't lift it at all
Your routine sucks and you're overtrained and no, IDGAF that roided up Americans with a collective IQ of 75 make lots of websites where they say that overtraining doesn't exist.

What are your lift stats?
