I'm under no delusion that its a saturated market. I don't plan on investing in advertisement of the blog itself until I have a solid base of quality content, all I want to do right now is pump out articles to build that base so I'm just looking for topics atm

I can't come up with any topics off the top of my head, but maybe you could even ask dyels, beginners, casuals etc. at your gym what they would like to know/learn about to achieve their fitness goals, what confuses them, what they've heard works and doesn't work, that sort of thing. That might give you a bit of inspiration to get started - I was joking about the titles but if you do end up using clickbait titles then those will probably be the type of people reading your stuff anyway, people who know about fitness wouldn't be enticed by it. I would say that if you do use the clickbait tactic then at least be subtle about it, don't go over the top.
