Man, that is hilarious. I love all the body builders at my gym but lets be honest here. At a fundamental level, a sane, well-adjusted human should not go into bodybuilding at a competitive level.

Bodybuilding competitors are most likely narcissists who are more than happy to torture themselves on all angles and have fun doing it. Does anyone even actually win a bodybuilding competition in the conventional sense? I'd say they win just by making it to the stage in the life-as-art way they do.

That type of wining is probably why this lady is so out of her element. She is as delusional in the opposite way as real body builders are in their own unique way.

Why not go to every single fucking competition you can go to and talk to the competitors and ask questions and train hard and when you actually have some kind of visible resemblance to a bodybuilder then go and show them what your worked for even if they have to look beyond some skin damage from am amazing journey? Hello. I've something to say and I'd like to hear your thoughts on it.

You see, I've been fat for most of my life. The fat shy guy, always quiet and considerate. I tried approaching various girls. Many of them were considered ugly but I didn't care because I was romantically attracted to them. I got no girlfriend this way. In fact girls were indignant, prefering the jocks and douches. Being shy was hard to approach other people already. Being mocked or verbally attacked just for liking someone was utterly devastating.

In the end what got me to change was a Chad wo fucked a girl and then they both rubbed it in everyone's face. I was beyond outraged. I hated him, I hated her, but more than anything I hated myself. I was smart, nice and understanding. He was below me, right? But where was the proof of my superiority then? I was worthless!
I started working out just so I could sleep at the end of the day because I was in a state of perpetual furious turmoil that lasted for weeks.

I lost much weight and built muscle. My chronic deprpession and anxieties are much more manageable now, and my heart doesn't bother me like it used to. Also girls like me and come to me every now and then. My (unconditionally loving and supportive) father is proud and my asshole elitist brother is feeling threatened.
My points are:

1)Being fat is hell and I will help whoever wants out. Fat acceptance and positivity seek to keep people in that hell and we hate them for it.

2)Women, regardless of what they say they want, reward a certain type of behaviour. The "alpha", the douche, the Chad. Decent guys are either bred out or grow cynical. Call men shallow all you want but the truth of the matter is that women reap what they sow.

3)It doesn't matter why you get fit. It helps you find peace of mind.

I'm 320- 330 lbs, 5'9". Had endocrine issues since I was a toddler, but shit just recently hit the fan. Anyway, I'm not blind. I know I'm fat and I am getting in shape. Half for health, half because I don't want my boyfriend fucking a fat chick.

I don't have any of the problems with mobility that I hear about fat people having. I'm pretty active, I do as much as I can without a gym. Most walking/jogging, I'm not at the full-out sprint stage yet. I just don't have that problem that I hear about. I see these women in the fat shows on TLC and BBC, and I see what they weigh, and they look so much sloppier than I do. Even my mother, who fucking hates me and never ceases to call me a fat piece of shit, tells me that I don't visually appear to weigh as much as I do.

I come from a family of big mofos. My father was 6'4" at his tallest and is built like a bear. Mother's side has some tall bastards, too. My kneecaps are about the size of softballs (measured when I was younger, I wasn't always fat).

I realize that flabs of fat are not healthy. I also realize that people don't gain hundreds of pounds worth of bone. But are some people just meant to be bigger? Every time I go to the doctor they tell me they want me at 150 lbs. because that's what's normal. I haven't weighed 150 lbs. since I was in early high school and was exercise-bulimic (I posted in another thread a little while ago about that). I lost 30 lbs. in less than a month because I never stopped moving.

But at 160-something I fit into smaller sized jeans than girls who weighed less than me, I was never a good speed runner but I had a shit ton of endurance and could do a lot of taxing, manual labor, work kept me on my feet for at least 5 hours straight and I had absolutely no problems... I was in good shape. Really, seriously, are some people meant to be bigger?

But is this really that surprising? Muscle weighs MUCH more than fat, and an inch of extra height will add on like 3-5 lbs of weight. So if you're taller and more muscular than a girl who weighs the same as you, its not only unlikely but impossible for you to be anything but smaller than her.

Back then I didn't. I hardly ate at all. I worked at a restaurant for a while, so it was common for me to eat one meal a day, which would be dinner. I never ate breakfast or lunch at school. I liked feeling hungry. Which isn't great. I know it's bad. But it wasn't like I was sowing down on pizzas and sodas. And I remember always eating healthy foods when I was a kid. My mother made sure of that because of my early endocrine problems. We never went out to eat, and it pissed my father off constantly. He's a pretty big piece of shit, to be honest, stole a lot of money from me.

I've seen a doctor who has put me on a 800 calorie diet, which is less than people 300 lbs. more than me get to eat. I follow it, it's not difficult. I live next to a butcher shop and farmer's market-type grocery store so it's really easy to get cheap, good food. I eat a lot of apples, have cut out pasta and bread... Lean pork, lots of it, and sometimes chicken breasts. I never get dark meat. Too expensive.

The only thing I twist off on occasionally is a chocolate milk when I do weight lifting. Other than that, I drink skim. I've always drank skim. I don't like sweets, so there's never candy or chocolate hanging around the house. Or soda, I've completely cut out diet soda, even.

Former fat here. Was 178 at 5'4" and looked chubby but due to how I carry my weight I didn't look as big. I looked thick. You might just hold your weight better. Apple shaped women who get fat look horrible. All belly and shoulders. Same for just about everyone but hourglass and pear shaped people. Maybe you just don't have that gross word belt fold that creates two separate flab then you automatically look better than them.

Taller or stockier build yes but not obese. I joke about being built like a teapot, short and stout (more like a d&d kinda dwarf. That constitution stat) but build doesn't mean I have to be fat. If you're healthy now, unless you weigh 500+ lbs you will not have mobility problems that prevent daily living, except jogging and fitting into seats at the theatre. BUT the problem lies down the road when you reach the age of 40-50 you will be at extreme risk of stroke or heart attack and that will completely cripple you compared to a healthy person. You think you're going to be able to waddle around with those 300 lbs anymore after a stroke and you get one-sided weakness? Laughable. As a fatty getting /fit/ now I guess we've always had the desire to be fitter (well I have anyway) but lacked motivation. (I was a lazy shit)
My situation was never like fph stories though my mum is fat as well and always encouraged us to get healthy and eat more fruit and stuff but we always fall back to eating the same crap we always ate.
I finally got the motivation because my older brother is getting married in two years time and the last wedding I was at I wore a kilt (Scotfag here) and felt and looked fucking awful with my gut pushing out so since for the last month more or less I've been lifting with my best friend/room mate in a hut we have in out back garden with weights and shit and we've started going jogging a lot more now too.

Apologies if I went off on a tangent so TL;DR A lot of us want to get fit but are too lazy/lack proper motivation
