Can't do a single pull up, any exercises I could do instead to build up strength to start doing them?

my favorites are bent over rows, negatives, and seal rows, but each work one aspect slightly more than the others.
bent over rows are best for people who are primarily weak in grip. if you can barely hold onto the bar, start here.
seal rows are for people who can't seem to properly contract their lats, usually due to muscular imbalance and lack of use.
negatives are usually best for people who have little equipment, are exceptionally slender, or are not disproportionately weak in one area. it trains the movement pattern while building mind muscle connection and it allows the muscles to fully stretch.
