not sure but if you want the best bang for your buck put enough on to do negatives. your 30 will shoot to 40 overnight.

No. First of all it's a different type of pull, second of all you don't actually lift all of your 220lbs in a pull up.

when i hit 30 consecutive BW pullups i was doing weighted sets around 90 lbs for 3x5, and my single rep max was around 115. keep in mind i only trained my pullups weighted, and only did an unweighted burnout set once a month or so just to see how many i could do. if you train BW pullups exclusively then your weighted pullups would be weaker.
