I've looked around and that's actually a common problem for one armed people. One solution k tried was doing things like putting a weight on a band on what's left of my arm and working out like that, but it's too uncomfortable in my opinion.

Basically, I balance the workout. Unevenness seems hard to avoid, so I try and focus more on core workouts and legs. There's also a few exercises that focus on the upper shoulder area and similar areas without the requirement of the full use of the accompanying arm.

All about research and creativity, really.

1) Thanks! I'd say I'm a bit lucky in terms of lack of fatness. I just never got very big. Probably helped that dad got me into exercise young, at least enough to keep me not fat.

1) Honestly, even as a kid I knew it was serious, but in my young mind it was hard to go from 'everything is fine, just going to meet dad for dinner' to waking up in a Hospital, sluggish and having doctors and people all crowding around you.

2) I'm not too sure of how to explain how I was pre-accident. I mean, now I know that mom was terrible and etc, but at the time, it was simply what I accepted as normal. During it? I was... A lot of things. I was young, so I was confused of course. I was adamant that they just had to 'find it and put it back on' even though I likely knew that wasn't how it worked. I was angry, frustrated, and almost every feeling in the book. After I got out of the hospital, I feel like I was more... Mature. Small things didn't bug me as much, I got frustrated at things I could no longer do, and it was simply difficult to adjust. Now, it's just how I live. I'd say I'm pretty normal, mental-wise. Not sure what I could compare to.

3) While I never felt 'pain' from where things are missing, for a while I occasionally felt like my arm was still there. Typically it was when I first woke up for the following months after it happened. Felt like my arm was laying there, but it faded once I tried to actually move it.

4) I don't mind the stares, and nosy kids are just that, kids. Stares are the worst of the two. Though I've noticed the stares are rarely of disgust, more of surprise, which I totally understand. Kids mostly just want to understand what happened, and why I'm like that, and they're usually followed by an apologetic mother or father.

5) The people who try and help out while trying to also not step on any toes are a mixed bag. Some of them are endearing, others are annoying. Depends on the specific situation. People who look out and try to help with something that typically takes two hands are fine, but it's a little frustrating when people kinda work over me to try and help, especially when I can easily do something myself.
