How good is lifting for mental fitness? I.e does it help fight depression and thoughts of suicide, and promote fluid learning?

It's basically like getting laid on a regular basis
You stress levels significantly drop afterwards, you just feel better, esp if u follow it up by a cold ass shower.
It helps with regulating your cortisol, increases testosterone, that alone is enough to make u feel invincible.

Depends
A good workout makes you feel better, a bad workout makes you feel bad. Getting results makes you feel great, time out of gym and injuries make you feel worse. Make sure it doesnt turn into OCD and take over your life

Key are the hormones released. Testosterone, dopamine, endorphins, serotonin..

Cardio is better for mental gains in my experience, but lifting is good too, you should do both.

i use exercise of all forms to deal with any emotion i can have, happy sad angry anxious excited....helps with everything usually, teaches discipline. but for actual mental fitness chess and sudoku are your best bet.
