You may have bulged or herniated a disc, or it could be a muscle spasm.

You should see your doctor and be ADAMANT about getting an MRI with specific focus on your thoracic spine. You're gonna have to push hard for this, docs are very hesitant to do even the most basic radiological procedures for some reason.

If it's not your spine, and the snapping happened in your musculature, then it's probably a rhomboid spasm.
The name is misleading, you won't feel the muscle spasming after that first painful contraction.
Good news is that if that's the case, nothing is really damaged, just a small muscle that's in a bad place for small muscles when lifting big weights.
It's pretty common, and takes about 4 days to heal. It will hurt like a motherfucker, especially late at night in bed, when getting up and propping yourself up sideways with one arm.

I am not a doctor, so visit a doctor if you're not 100% sure about what's wrong with you after googling all the shit you can find.
