the point of beginner routine is to do compounds 3x week to get strong fast at those lifts and some accessory shit on the side.

And do you think this is better than Greyskull? Cause that's what I was doing before I stopped lifting. Looking to get back into it.

My current stats for 185 ibs 6'0 are

Bench: 170 x 5
Squat: 2 Plate x 5
Deadlift: 2 plate x 5
OHP: 95 x 5

If I worked hard over the summer would I be able to get up to like intermediate level?

not him but i'd say around 245 for squats, 265 for deadlift, 175 bench, 110 press for intermediate levels.

you become intermediate when you can no longer add weight every single workout. that usually takes less than a year, around 6-8 months on average i'd say.

1234 might not be possible for those that never did any sports before lifting and it will take them more than a year to achieve while people with sport background can get those numbers in less than a year while they are still in noob gains. obviously there will be outliers but that's from my experience.

no. novice/intermediate has nothing to do with numbers

novice is when you make PRs every workout, intermediate is when you make PRs every week

if you work hard all summer, you might exhaust your novice progression, but the goal isn't to finish it quick, it's to keep it going as long as you can before you switch to more complex programming

http://symmetricstrength.com/ gives an alternative formalisation of what it means to be "intermediate". for someone who weighs 81kg, the standards are 59kg/91kg/122kg/141kg (approximately 1/1.75/2.5/3)

this routine has 4 times bench, 2 times didly variation, 3 times squat variation, multipe row variants, lower back work, add ab-work and it is perfect. http://www.jtsstrength.com/articles/2016/03/07/considerations-for-beginners/
only rest for a minute to get better working capacity.
afterwards peak with the juggernaut method, to 5x8 to 5x5 and 6x3.
