How do i conquer my emotions /fit/?
Yesterday my girlfriend asked about my "Army" stuff in the morning, even though she knows im a Marine and I dont play that shit.
Then in the evening she was saying a list out loud and said "E-T-C, you know, etcetera" at the end, and I told her I knew what the fuck ETC stands for.
Anyways, she didnt like that and said I had been acting like a bitch all day, and I broke down inside. Thats one of the only things I wont tolerate being called. I was quiet on the drive home, and when we got home, I decided to try to open up, and explain that I didnt like being called a bitch. She apologized and then went back to her place to work on some homework, and then I broke down for real because I realized that by opening up, I basically was being a bitch, and by breaking down it was even worse. Luckily no one saw it, but still.
I can conquer my body, but my emotions are something completely different, and my emotional fitness is terrible currently.

None of these beliefs are objectively true, you only make them "true" by believing them. Changing beliefs is sometimes easy, sometimes not. You can look over some material on REBT, or cognitive therapy in general. To give you an idea on how to change your beliefs.
