Redpill me on pump and muscle sores
Is it important to always have them after the workout? Like a indicator of a good workout?
Pump yes
DOMS goes away within like 1-3 months of starting on a muscle group

If I don't feel it after, then I didn't do enough. Go big or go home.
No. After a couple weeks or less on a program you shouldn't have significant muscle soreness unless you had an abruptly difficult workout, which most programs won't do.
If you're consistently feeling muscle soreness after 2 weeks then you're not following the program. If you're not on a program then get on one if youre this new, which you are. Simple linear progression shit.
This is of course only discussing muscle soreness, not joints and tendon pain which is a whole different ballgame. Good luck anon.

Work out twice a day if necessary
I worked out for the first time in like a year on Thursday and I was so sore I could barely walk. Stairs were a nightmare. (yes, I squatted)
The gym at my job is in the basement, which is down 4 flights of stairs from the lobby, and my office is on the 4th floor from the lobby.
Guess what day the elevators weren't working.

The DOMS will go away once your body adapts to the exercise. When you train a muscle group frequently, your body will adapt tp that and be less likely to get DOMS. That is why peeple who run brosplits complain about "muh legday", because they aren't frequently training them.
