I do clock raises for obliques but I think I started after I started the cut so they probably didn't build. Anyway mistakes were made. Stoked to make more gains, I've been missing a steady increase in numbers.

Hadn't run over 4 miles in months, but today when I went out to run I just felt good, so I kept going over 4 miles and just started exploring my town. I ended up running a little over a half marathon, which is probably terrible for my knees, just running a half marathon out of the blue like that, but it felt good. I also realize what a crazy caloric deficit it has put me in so I am binging on cookies and brownies.

Should i bulk or cut?

I realize I'm still small but I've been gaining too much fat at the rate I've been bulking (was eating 4.4k calories when my tdee is probably around 3000) and a few people have told me that I should cut. I was thinking about doing leangains this summer

Be very careful not to slingshot the pounds back on going straight from a deficit to a surplus. Turns out my tdee is just really high. Between lifting cardio and my semi physical job i shouldve been eating 3500 calories. But I blindly followed scooby to where I am now. I swim and jog for cardio but I do HIIT when I swim. Try doing warm up, 6x50m sprints with 100m active recovery in between and a cool down. Sprints are as fast as you possibly can, recovery being a speed you can get your breath back at. Best of luck friendo, were all gonna make it.

6'0, 175#s, age nearly 30.
Took me 17 months, but I'm finally leaner than when I was in Jan 2016....but I'm stronger than before? about 20-30% stronger in all my lifts (Bench, OHP, Squat, etc). Just OHP'ed 190# at 175.

17 months of perfect nutrition, no cheat meals, just chicken/eggs/potatoes, no drinking, always sleeping 8 hours a day, never skipping workouts, and starving the entire time.

For basically no visual progress. I need to either say fuck it and start juicing, or just slack and cruise at around 10-12% BF. This is fucking awful living like this.

My routine isn't anything special.
Just 5/3/1 BBB, except instead of deadlifts 5/3/1 I do 10 sets of 5 at high weight. I just train really heavy, I don't mess with accessories, I just get in the gym and lift as heavy as I can for bench, OHP, Squad, and Deads, whichever is on tap for that day, and then go home.
Oh, and heavy 5x5 chinups and 5x8 Dips on Upper day. I haven't done a curl or extension or sit up in like a year. Just throw all my effort and intensity into my compound for that day.

But generally, for us, it's about intensity. Naturals can't do volume and get lean, we just can't recover as quickly, but as long as we're getting stronger or keeping strength, we can keep shredding fat. Moving to lifting heavy and removing the accessories for more compounds transformed my progress. It's just mentally exhausting to summon up the focus to do all those heavy sets when you've been cutting for half a year.

Diet is what matters over all. I haven't had pizza or chinese in about 2 years. I have about 2 drinks a month when I have to socialize for work. For dates, it's usually a Salad, light cheese and vinagrette. If no salad, order fish, then chicken, always ask for light oil, etc.

I found tons of reps didn't do much for me. I got much more progress from taking 3-5 sets per set and lifting at max intensity without dropping weight. I don't get pumps, which suck, but I got better results.

Cheat meals are killer. When I have them, it's more like a Strip steak instead of top round, and I budget the macros for the day around it. Your body doesn't know or care what a cheat meal is. It just stores the calories.

I'm aroud 300g protein a day, with 40g fat. My 150-200g carbs come solely from morning potatoes and then pre-workout carbs. The rest of my diet is eggs, egg whites, chicken breast, broccoli. same height, went from 92 to 82 since 1 feb. could not lift since march 1 due to hernia though. squat 100kg deadlift 110kg bench 50kg 5x5 just before injury.

my recommendation for cutting would be intermittent fasting, google it if new to you. worked wonders on decreasing my appetite and calorie intake. good luck bro.

I do both weighted decline abs (holding a 25lb weight) and regular bodyweight abs. I should do more but I superset them with dips right now so they fit in well. I should but also I figure I started doing them close to cutting so I'll try to fix it once I'm bulking again. It's not like my weight will really go up since I'm on a deficit so it's not at the top of my priorities.

Get those 0% fat joghurts, those seem to help as they are high volume, also, might want to consider raising your carbs and upping your cardio if you just want to maintain the same deficit.
150-200 g carbs is very very low for a guy your size imo.

regarding your question about keto diet: I personally don't belive that it helps you maintain muscle and burn fat better than any other propper diet will do, however, where it succedes(at least for me) is in keeping you satiated. Also i have to mention i only use it at the end of my cuts as i absolutely despise the lack of carbs.

you might just want to have a week at maintenance calories to rise your leptin levels and decrease the gherlin ones.

I did a hard cut (1650-1850 cals), doing high protein, low carbs, medium-ish fats. I've been eating clean foods with veggies as well (the carbs mainly come from vegetables)

IF style dieting. 21/3. Ran an upper/lower 4x a week with 1 or 2 short HIIT cardio days.

My stats are fairly laughable though:
Bench 205lb x 5
OHP: 130lb x 5
Deadlift: 355lb x 5
Squat: 225lb x 5

I also consumed BCAAs before workouts so I don't go catabolic when I train fasted. It actually helped a fair amount.

But now I'm starting to slowly increase cals and am now running a PPLx6 with little cardio.

Caffeine and BCAAs were what saved me desu, because I was lethargic often. I completely tailored this to my daily lifestyle, so it may not work for anyone else but me.

What matters is being in a good deficit and consuming enough protein. And CONSISTENCY. The rest is up to you.

I always personally recommend skinnyfats who want to look better to lean down first

3 months improvement, went from 110 kg to 98 kg at 195 cm tall but still above 15% bf. I've been lifting for a long time now but for some reason no matter how low I push my calorie intake I never can lose more than .25 kg a week without losing strength. Any tips?

Not sure how it worked out but prior to test it was really patchy and lightly colored. After I started test injections, it grew 3 times faster and began to fully fill in.

I use the Fluff recipe, I used to have the 0% Yog, but the Fluff was the same idea (Filling), but had less calories.

I may do a refeed day of eating maint, or a few days of it, if I want to keep cutting. I was considering starting to bulk back up (slowly, around 3000 cals).
